Our history... this section was perhaps the most difficult for us to write. How can we easily convey exactly how we met in a paragraph or two in text form? We decided that we really can't. So, we bring you a discussion of our brief history in exciting TextChat Form ™ (patent pending).
Sam:
So how do we start this?
Sandra:
Let's talk about... the first day we met... 19 years ago?
Sam:
You were all alone...
Sam:
No one to talk to...
Sam:
Then I appeared, gallant 3rd grade student.
Sandra:
But yes, I didn't speak a word of English and I was rather scared.
Sandra:
I cried my first day :P
Sam:
...coming to the rescue of a helpless fresh off the boat Korean girl.
Sandra:
Gallant? You were skinny and short!
Sandra:
Anyhoo. I remember Mrs. Fulo introducing me to you - because you were the only Korean in the same homerooom...
Sam:
I remember that too.
Sandra:
And I was rather excited because I was happy to have someone to speak Korean to....
Sandra:
And then you spoke... then I realized that your Korean wasn't very good. heehee~
Sam:
I particularly remember showing you around the Boat Area playground at ISM.
Sandra:
I don't remember that....
Sam:
I remember being really quick about things. "This is the boat area", "this is the soccer field", "this is the little theatre."
Sandra:
Hahaha~ couldn't wait to get away from me?
Sam:
Hehe I don't remember. I think I was also shy about the whole thing.
Sandra:
Hehehe~ we were quite innocent then :P
Sandra:
But then again, my memory of you is really hazy... We knew each other but never really hung out.
Sam:
Perhaps. Or perhaps it was in my Master Plan all along.
Sandra:
We even went to mass together but I don't remember hanging out with you all that much!
Sam:
Hmm.. I don't think we actually started hanging out with each other until High School.
Sam:
I remember what did it as well.
Sandra:
Yeah... I think that's about right. It's because you had a car!
Sam:
I "had to" take you and your friends home after mass one day.
Sam:
and then you guys all got into my car.
Sam:
and when the car started there was a Kim Gun Mo tape in the car and it started playing.
Sam:
and everyone asked, "Hey, you listen to kayo?"
Sandra:
Hahahaha~ We all thought you were a... "banana"
Sam:
Banana ey? Well I guess it's better than that all white church dress you used to wear .
Sam:
With matching lacy socks and white shoes.
Sandra:
There was nothing wrong with my church dresses!!!
Sandra:
They were all so purrrrtyyyy!!
Sandra:
I think my sister and I even had a matching... hat...
Sam:
Yes. I remember that you two would wear the same outfits.
Sandra:
That's all my mom's doing... hehehe~
Sandra:
I think she thought that if she bought one of us a nice dress, the other one would get very jealous.
Sandra:
So she ended up buying two of everything!
Sam:
Let's not put the blame on your mother. We all know how much you loved those dresses.
Sandra:
I think it's funnier that your brothers remember that darn white dress for church!!!!!!!!
Sandra:
And they were way older then me!!
Sam:
I guess you were a big hit. :)
Sam:
So let's talk about how we met recently.
Sam:
I'm sure that the people that've read upto this point are getting a little too "sugarized" with our lubby dubby chit chat.
Sandra:
OK. Who contacted who first?
Sandra:
I think we kept messaging each other when we were single...
Sam:
Yeah, I think we actually e-mailed each other about once a month or once a semester during college.
Sam:
And if I ever saw you online on the instant messenger, we would chat a bit.
Sandra:
That's right! I guess the timing was just right in 2003 :)
Sam:
Yeah. We were both single at the time.
Sandra:
You convinced me that you would come visit me in San Francisco and voila!
Sandra:
Here we are. Getting married.
Sam:
Hehe I guess that's how it is.
Sandra:
I always say... "don't go looking for love~~ it will come naturally when the time is right!" heehee~
Sam:
... ...quick let's say something else before the people who're reading faint from all the sugary sweetness.
